Project
01 / Introduction

Finkraft is an enterprise SaaS platform built to address one of the most tedious problems in Indian corporate finance — GST reconciliation and Input Tax Credit recovery across thousands of invoices in travel, logistics, and operations.

Our role was to translate complexity into a clean, scalable, developer-ready product foundation. Designed for accountants, optimised for speed, aligned with the firm's go-to-market.

02 / The brief
i. What the problem actually was

Reconciliation isn't about matching numbers. It's about navigating fragmented data, ambiguous records, and inconsistent invoice behaviour at scale. Travel invoices booked through third-party apps come without standardised data. Finance teams bounce between tools without a central view.

The problem was cognitive before it was technical. The design had to make sense to a finance team the moment they saw it.

03 / The approach
i. A cockpit, not a dashboard

We designed for active control rather than passive viewing. Tailored journeys for enterprise finance — separating reconciliation, review, and escalation — with visual cues, risk flags, and audit trails carrying the heavy lifting.

ii. Prototype as spec

We built a high-fidelity, clickable prototype that doubled as the developer specification. Design and engineering moved together; the back-and-forth that usually slows enterprise product builds didn't happen.

iii. GTM woven into product

Specific use cases — like travel invoice reconciliation — became anchor points for early-stage demos and sales outreach. The product story and the sales story were the same story.

04 / The outcome
i. What changed

The prototype served as a live blueprint for the engineering team. The visual flows and use-case messaging aligned internal teams and sharpened external positioning. The design system and journey logic created a repeatable model the platform could grow into without rebuilding core behaviours.
